Monkeytown - Brooklyn, NY
The ‘back room’ of Monkeytown is reserved for communal dining, with long tables and low seating arranged symmetrically amidst four large projection walls. Intimacy is experienced with fellow diners due to the shared experience of appreciating the video, audio and culinary arts in an enclosed warm space together. As projected scenarios and films are presented all around, often live performance is added to the mix; otherwise, sonic installations are presented in the surround environment.
